New Holland Construction is launching the new C Series backhoe loader, which builds on the high operating comfort, low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and best-in-class productivity that are the hallmarks of its predecessor. The cab has been entirely redesigned, taking operator comfort to a new level. Now wider, it provides excellent accessibility and extra room for the operator’s legs when swiveling the seat to switch from operating the front loader to the backhoe. New rear side glasses further improve visibility, already excellent in the previous series. The layout of the controls has been revised for ease of use, with the switches regrouped on the right-hand console, and the stabilizer levers and parking brakes moved to a new position. A new F-N-R switch integrated in the loader control lever on the Power Shift model and joystick roller switch for extending dipper operation give the operator enhanced control of the machine. All these changes facilitate operation and save time with consequent improvement to productivity.
A host of features such as a USB port, a 12v port on the instrument cluster, a mobile phone holder, latest Bluetooth technology contribute to making the operator’s life on board easier. Storage has been drastically increased, and includes 2 lockable compartments, 2 bottle holders, 4 open trays, and a cooling box, adding up to industry-leading capacity.
The new C Series carries over the low Total Cost of Ownership of its predecessor, with the proven FPT engine, which delivers a highly fuel-efficient, powerful performance. The variable displacement pump hydraulic system, which only delivers oil when needed, achieves further fuel savings, and provides faster cycle times. The new cab design also contributes to the low TCO with the new side glasses that are less expensive to replace. The tilting engine hood and central service point location provide best-in-class accessibility for quick maintenance operations, resulting in more uptime and lower operating costs.
